Coast Aluminum to Build $42 Million Facility Near Fresno Airport
Coast Aluminum announced plans to build a $42 million, 163,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility near Fresno Yosemite International Airport, with a groundbreaking set for November 19, 2025. The project, scheduled to open in 2026, aims to expand the Hayward based supplier while retaining its Fresno workforce and supporting the county industrial land pipeline.

Coast Aluminum, Inc. is expanding its operations in Fresno County with a planned $42 million, 163,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility near Fresno Yosemite International Airport. The Business Journal reported the company announced the project on November 18, 2025, and that a groundbreaking at 5255 E. Home Avenue was set for November 19, 2025. The facility is scheduled to open in 2026.
Developer Adler Industrial and builder JB Steel Construction are partnering on the project, and the companies said they will use local subcontractors where possible. The move represents a sizable expansion for the Hayward based aluminum supplier and is intended in part to retain the company’s existing Fresno workforce. The facility’s location near the airport connects manufacturing capacity to regional logistics nodes, which could shorten delivery times for regional customers and create efficiencies for the company.
For residents and local officials, the project matters on several fronts. It adds new industrial inventory to an area that has seen steady demand for logistics and manufacturing space, and it brings a large construction expenditure to the local economy. The use of local subcontractors will channel a portion of the $42 million investment into Fresno County businesses during the build phase, and the operational facility should contribute to property and sales tax bases once open.

Longer term, the project reinforces Fresno County’s role as a distribution and light manufacturing hub in the San Joaquin Valley. By keeping Coast Aluminum’s operations in the region, the project supports job stability in the industry and may encourage other firms seeking airport adjacent industrial sites. The partnership with Adler Industrial and JB Steel Construction also highlights continued developer interest in expanding the industrial land pipeline in and around airport corridors.
Officials and community stakeholders will be watching the construction timeline and hiring plans as the project moves from groundbreaking to operations in 2026, assessing its concrete effects on jobs, local contracting opportunities, and the county industrial landscape.
