Jag Gallery announced the return of its SMALL WORKS juried exhibit, opening Saturday, November 29, 2025 with a holiday reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The 18th annual show will present more than 200 pieces in small scale formats, offer juried awards and a public People’s Choice vote, and run through January 4, 2026.

Jag Gallery will reopen its SMALL WORKS juried exhibit to the public on Saturday, November 29, 2025 with a holiday reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Now in its 18th year, SMALL WORKS 2025 drew a record entry field and will display more than 200 pieces across two dimensional and three dimensional media including painting, photography, drawing, textiles, pottery, ceramics, sculpture and assemblage. The exhibit will be on view at the gallery in Duval Square through January 4, 2026, with an online preview available before the opening.
The exhibit is organized around a strict size requirement. Each work must be no larger than 10 inches in any direction, frame included. That constraint allows the gallery to present a large number of distinct artworks in a compact footprint. Awards for the show will include Juror’s Choice and Honorable Mentions, and a People’s Choice award will be determined by public vote. Gallery officials list the location at 1075 Duval St. and note that events associated with the exhibit are open to the public at no cost. Additional information about viewing hours and purchasing is available at jaggallery.art. Inquiries may be directed to 305-407-6202 or via [email protected].
For Monroe County residents, the exhibit represents both cultural opportunity and local economic activity during the winter holiday period. Small format works can broaden participation for emerging and mid career artists by lowering logistical barriers to entry and exhibition. A large, juried field increases competition and can boost visibility for local creators who secure awards or sales. The People’s Choice element invites residents to engage directly with the selection process and to register preferences in a public forum, a form of civic participation that links culture and community.
Jag Gallery’s programming in Duval Square contributes to foot traffic for nearby businesses and offers free public programming that can attract visitors from across the Keys and beyond. The timing of the exhibit during the holiday season creates potential downstream benefits for hospitality and retail sectors that rely on visitor traffic in the final months of the year.
The gallery’s website maintains details on gallery hours and purchasing procedures, which are important for transparency in sales and for residents who wish to support local artists. As the exhibition opens, residents and artists will watch how a record entry field and public voting shape both recognition and market outcomes for the artists represented in SMALL WORKS 2025.
