Jasper resident arrested, charged in Dubois County child exploitation probe
Huntingburg Police and partnering agencies arrested a Jasper resident after a Cyber Tip Report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children prompted an investigation into alleged child sex abuse material and online solicitation. The case underscores local law enforcement reliance on multiagency internet crime task forces to detect and disrupt online exploitation, and it offers residents guidance on reporting and prevention.

Huntingburg Police Detectives, working with several area agencies, arrested 27 year old Keyen R. Reutepohler of Jasper following an investigation into allegations of soliciting, possessing and distributing child sex abuse material. The investigation began after detectives reviewed a Cyber Tip Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on October 24, 2025, and culminated with search warrants and an arrest in mid November.
The Cyber Tip was generated by MediaLab through the Kik platform and included media files depicting child sex abuse material. Huntingburg detectives, affiliated with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, traced the Kik account that uploaded the files to the defendant. During the course of the probe, search warrants served on electronic service providers yielded additional evidence related to child exploitation, child solicitation, and distribution of obscene matter.
Search warrants were executed on the afternoon of November 12, 2025, in both Jasper and Huntingburg. Investigators from the Huntingburg Police Department were assisted by the Jasper Police Department, the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office, the Dubois County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Indiana State Police. Additional items seized during the searches were turned over to the Knox County High Tech Crime Unit, which will examine electronic evidence for any further child sex abuse material.
As a result of the investigation, Reutepohler was taken into custody on November 12 and booked into the Dubois County Security Center. He faces multiple counts including four counts of Level 4 felony child exploitation and possession of child sex abuse material, five counts of Level 5 felony child exploitation and possession of child sex abuse material, one count of Level 5 felony child solicitation, and three counts of an A misdemeanor for distribution of obscene matter. The Huntingburg Police Department emphasized that the filing of the information is an allegation and that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
The case was led by Huntingburg detectives who are affiliated members of the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The Indiana ICAC, led by the Indiana State Police, investigates and prosecutes individuals who use the internet to sexually exploit or entice children. According to the task force, Indiana ICAC investigators evaluate thousands of tips each year, investigate hundreds of cases, and rescue dozens of children from ongoing sexual abuse.
For Dubois County residents, the investigation highlights the role of coordinated law enforcement efforts to identify online threats. Authorities encourage anyone who suspects online exploitation, solicitation, or enticement of a child to report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to contact local law enforcement. The case remains under investigation and additional charges or evidence may follow as electronic materials are reviewed.
