Kroger Marketplace Named First Anchor for Fate Lafayette Crossing

The City of Fate announced that Kroger Marketplace will serve as the first major commercial anchor for Lafayette Crossing, the citys planned 267 acre mixed use development at the northwest corner of Interstate 30 and Memorial Parkway FM 551. The announcement on December 6, 2025 marks a tangible step in building a regional retail and commercial hub on land designated for commercial space, corporate offices, a town center, hospitality, and new neighborhoods.

Kroger Marketplace will feature more than 100,000 square feet of retail and grocery space, offering fresh foods, household essentials, pharmacy services, and specialty departments under one roof. City planners say the anchor will be complemented by tens of thousands of square feet of supportive retail, dining, and commercial services. City officials anticipate a second major anchor retailer will join Kroger to strengthen Lafayette Crossings draw.
