Helmhout brings more than twenty years of clinical experience in family medicine and a stated passion for building long term relationships with patients and their families. She earned her medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis and completed her family medicine residency at St. Francis Family Medicine Residency in Memphis.
Helmhout said she entered health care from a genuine desire to help people and a strong interest in science, and that she is looking forward to seeing patients and continuing to provide high quality primary care to the Oxford community. Her background in comprehensive family medicine positions her to treat patients across the lifespan and to manage chronic conditions that are common in Lafayette County.
