Perham Girls Roll to Dominant Win, Maintain Undefeated Start
Perham routed Hawley 71 to 34 on Dec. 2 at the Hive, pacing itself with strong defense and efficient scoring that converted opponent turnovers into points. The win keeps Perham undefeated, and highlights the role of local girls athletics in promoting youth health, community connection, and equitable access to school sports.
Perham used a high tempo attack and defensive pressure to build an early lead and never looked back in a 71 to 34 victory over Hawley at the Hive on Dec. 2. The Wolverines controlled the paint and turned Hawley miscues into offense, converting 26 turnovers into 25 points en route to a commanding performance.
The halftime score was 43 to 21 in favor of Perham, and Hawley managed only 13 points in the second half while shooting 18 percent after the break. Perham scored 38 points in the paint, shot 52 percent on two point field goals, and finished with eight three pointers overall. Final score: PERHAM 71, HAWLEY 34.
