Fuego For A Cause took place on Friday November 14 2025 at the Arcata Theatre Lounge in Arcata, with doors opening at 9:00 PM and the program running from 9:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Presented by Nostalgia Crew and the Arcata Theatre Lounge and sponsored by Homeboldt, the reggaeton and Latin dance benefit featured DJs Statik Gabe Pressure D’vinity and Diablinski Fuego Dancers live art by DMISE a Community Ofrenda in honor of Día de Muertos and food by Pupuseria San Miguel. Tickets were $10 for Early Bird and $15 for General Admission and were available at ArcataTheatre.com. Proceeds were designated to support Centro Del Pueblo’s programs.

Organizers framed the night as both a cultural observance and a fundraising vehicle for an organization that supports Indigenous migrants Latiné communities and youth. For local residents the event offered more than entertainment. It created an occasion for community members to contribute financially to social services while publicly recognizing cultural traditions. The Community Ofrenda tied the evening to Día de Muertos observances providing a culturally resonant focal point that linked celebration with charitable giving.

The event also had modest economic implications for downtown Arcata. Ticket revenue supported the nonprofit s programs while on site food and art sales provided business for a local vendor and income for participating artists and performers. Hosting the event at the Arcata Theatre Lounge helped activate the nighttime economy and generated paid work for local DJs and dancers. Sponsorship from Homeboldt helped underwrite production costs allowing a larger share of ticket sales to flow to Centro Del Pueblo.

Fuego For A Cause fits into a broader pattern of community led fundraising in Humboldt County where arts and cultural gatherings play an increasingly visible role in supporting social services. Small scale benefit events can provide crucial flexible funding for nonprofits that serve immigrant families and young people especially when public funding is limited or restricted. For Centro Del Pueblo the proceeds from the event offer short term financial support for programs that address immediate needs and contribute to longer term community integration and youth development.

The evening underscored how cultural expression and community solidarity can be combined to meet local needs. By bringing music dance art and food together the benefit created a social and economic bridge between residents and the nonprofit services many rely on in Humboldt County.
