Rotary Club launches Holiday Diaper Drive to support families
The Rotary Club of Dubois County is collecting diapers, pull ups and unscented baby wipes through December 31 to help low income families served by TRI CAP. The drive addresses a basic childcare need that affects health, household budgets and access to work for parents across Dubois, Pike and Warrick counties.

The Rotary Club of Dubois County has opened its second annual Holiday Diaper Drive, collecting diapers, pull ups and unscented baby wipes for clients of TRI CAP from December 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. Donations may be dropped off at any TRI CAP office during regular business hours Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 30 p.m. The local collection points are TRI CAP Jasper at 607 3rd Avenue, TRI CAP Petersburg at 809 East Illinois Street, and TRI CAP Boonville at 499 West State Road 62.
The drive is designed to meet an immediate material need while highlighting broader gaps in supports for low income families. TRI CAP provides services that include education, health and housing and works with families across Dubois, Pike and Warrick counties. Diapers are not an optional expense for caregivers, they are a recurring cost that can strain already tight household budgets and affect a child s health and a parent s ability to work or attend school.
For Dubois County residents the drive creates a direct way to help neighbors who may be juggling childcare, employment and housing instability during the holiday season. Community donations of sizes for infants and toddlers and of unscented baby wipes will be distributed to TRI CAP clients who indicate need. For more information or to coordinate larger group donations contact the Dubois County Rotary Club at 812 630 5581.

Public health research links diaper need to increased risk of skin problems and urinary tract infections and to missed work and school when families lack adequate supplies. Addressing diaper need through community efforts can reduce immediate health risks and lessen economic pressure on families while longer term policy solutions are pursued. Local nonprofits, faith communities and employers that partner on drives like this can both meet urgent needs and build awareness of structural barriers that force families to choose between essentials.
Rotary Club leaders and TRI CAP staff say the effort is part of ongoing local work to support stable homes and healthier children. The drive will continue through the end of December and organizers encourage donations at the Jasper, Petersburg and Boonville TRI CAP offices during normal weekday hours.
