Suspect Arrested in Spring Hill Burglary at Krueger Brewing Company
The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 47-year-old Nicholas Lee Courtright in connection with a Jan. 3 commercial burglary at Krueger Brewing Company in Spring Hill. Deputies say surveillance images, physical evidence recovered at the scene, and the location of Courtright on an outstanding warrant led to charges of burglary and resisting an officer without violence; he is being held on a $6,000 bond.
Hernando County law enforcement moved to close a commercial burglary investigation this month after identifying and arresting a suspect connected to an entry at Krueger Brewing Company, 1320 Commercial Way in Spring Hill. The incident began on Jan. 3 when deputies responded to the business following reports of an apparent break-in.
Investigators on scene reported spotting a man flee into nearby woods. Deputies recovered a bicycle and a red-and-black bag containing power tools at the scene, items that were logged as evidence during the initial response. Surveillance photographs from the business were later tied to 47-year-old Nicholas Lee Courtright, law enforcement said.
Courtright was located and taken into custody on Jan. 6 on an active warrant stemming from a separate retail-theft incident. Following his detention, authorities booked him on charges of burglary and resisting an officer without violence. He remains in custody on a $6,000 bond.
The sequence of events underscores continuing concerns among Spring Hill business owners about property crime and the effectiveness of local responses.
