Patient Charged in Fatal Stabbing of UCSF Social Worker
A patient allegedly stabbed a University of California San Francisco social worker inside Ward 86 at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital on December 9, 2025, and the victim later died of her injuries. Authorities identified the suspect as Wilfredo Jose Tortolero Arriechi, who was restrained by a sheriff's deputy at the scene and booked on homicide charges, a case now proceeding through the district attorney's office.
