As finals week begins today, Cal Poly Humboldt is offering food, health services, tutoring, and stress relief events to help students finish the semester. Local residents and students staying in Humboldt during the winter break should note clinic hours, telehealth options, and emergency contacts to stay safe and supported.

Cal Poly Humboldt is ramping up support as finals week begins today, Dec. 15. Campus departments are coordinating meals, mental health services, tutoring, and wellness activities to help students manage exams and holiday travel. The university emphasizes rest, nutrition, and accessible care as key elements for finishing the semester successfully.

Tonight students can join the biannual Late Night Breakfast from 6 30 to 9 p.m. in the J Dining Hall and the Jolly Giant Commons Recreation Room. Free donuts will be offered on Monday and Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. on the first floors of Behavioral and Social Sciences and Founders Hall. Therapy dogs will be available in the Library on Tuesday Dec. 16 and Thursday Dec. 18 from 1 to 2 30 p.m. in Library 102 Gus and Corrine Nordstrom Lobby.

Student Health and Wellbeing Services provides a range of on campus supports including Medical Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, Health Promotion and Education, and the OhSNAP Food Programs. Counseling is open during regular business hours Monday Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The medical clinic is open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. The OhSNAP Food Pantry is open to all students at no cost to provide nutritious ingredients and snacks.

For students off campus or after hours the university partners with TimelyCare to provide 24 7 TalkNow support, on demand and scheduled medical services, psychiatry by referral, health coaching, and guided meditation and yoga sessions. When SHWS closes for winter break at noon on Dec. 23, TimelyCare remains available through Jan. 11. Students staying in Humboldt should also note that the County Mental Health 24 hour crisis line is (707) 445 7715.

Additional campus resources include health vending machines at Nelson Hall East and West, the Gutswurrak Student Activities Center, Jolly Giant Commons, the College Creek Mailroom Lobby, and Creekview Residence Hall Lounge. The Learning Center offers free tutoring and workshops, details at learning.humboldt.edu. Dining Services will operate with limited offerings over break, and University Police will remain on duty seven days a week at (707) 826 5555 for non emergencies or 911 for emergencies.
