County offices along with the Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will be closed Wednesday, December 24 through Friday, December 26. The Goochland Branch Library will follow the same schedule and will be closed Wednesday, December 24 through Friday, December 26.
Convenience Centers will operate on a reduced schedule and will be closed Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 only. Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed for the weekend following the holiday and will not be open Saturday, December 27 or Sunday, December 28.
Solid waste and recycling services will also be affected. All Central Virginia Waste Management Authority residential curbside recycling collections will be on a one day delay the week of Christmas. Specifically for Goochland, the regular RED Friday curbside recycling pickup will move to Saturday, December 27. Residents who normally set out recycling on Friday should plan to set bins out for collection on Saturday instead.
