Inventors Brewpub Announces Two Day Winter Beer Series, Homebrewers in Focus

Inventors Brewpub unveiled plans on December 12 for a two day winter craft beer series aimed at both homebrewers and beer fans. The announcement laid out a Home Brew Expo that will open Friday, January 23 with hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and a Winter Beer Invitational that will feature roughly 20 breweries pouring warming, high gravity beers. Organizers combined grassroots brewing activity with a pro brewery tasting to create a single community centered weekend.

The Home Brew Expo will operate as a vendor marketplace for ingredients and equipment, and will include an equipment swap and sell meet plus homebrew club pourings. A BJCP sanctioned homebrew competition is part of the expo, with entries listed at five dollars per submission and an entry deadline posted as January 17. The Winter Beer Invitational will serve as a curated tasting focused on bold winter styles such as barleywines, imperial and Russian stouts, and Belgian strong ales. Organizers scheduled two standard tasting sessions from noon to 2 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. priced at forty five dollars each, and a sixty five dollar VIP session from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that offers early access and extended tasting time. Attendees will vote on a People’s Choice Trophy, adding a community driven element to the professional pours.
