Lancaster Taproom Closing, Truth Beer Company Sells to Friends
Truth Beer Company announced closure of its Lancaster brewery and taproom after nearly three and a half years, with operations set to end December 22, 2025. The space was sold to friends who plan to retool and reopen with a new concept in early 2026, giving the local craft beer scene a clear timeline for a last visit and transition.

Truth Beer Company announced on December 9 that it will close its Lancaster brewery and taproom later this month, giving patrons until Monday, December 22, 2025 to stop by one last time. The owners said they have sold the brewery and taproom space to friends who will convert the venue into a new concept and reopen in early 2026. The brewery’s social post read in part, "Truth Beer Co. will be closing our doors this month after almost 3 and a half years. As the owners, we have decided to sell the brewery and taproom space to one of our good friends, who will be retooling and reopening the space as his own concept in early 2026."
The announcement follows a short but active run for the company. Truth Beer Company opened in 2022 in Akron with a brew house and a small to go spot, then expanded in 2024 with a second location on Prince Street in Lancaster. Later in 2024 the brewery closed its Akron location and consolidated brewing operations next to the Lancaster taproom, making the Prince Street site the center of production and service.
Regular taproom hours will continue this week and next, with the final shift scheduled for Monday, December 22, 2025. The owners thanked customers, friends, and local brewing peers and said they will remain active in the local beer scene. For anyone who has supported Truth Beer Company since its Akron beginnings or discovered it in Lancaster, this is the final opportunity to share a pint, buy remaining beers to go, and thank the staff in person.

The sale creates a predictable gap and a fresh opportunity for Lancaster drinkers and the local brewing community. Expect a new operator to take time to retool the space before reopening in early 2026, and plan visits accordingly. Verify current taproom hours before going, and consider stopping by soon to support staff and collect any favorite beers while the taproom remains open.
