Singapore Cruise to Feature Onboard Pickleball Clinics and Mobile Courts
StarDream Cruises will partner with Performance Pickleball to run a three-night cruise in February from Singapore to Phuket that includes onboard pickleball clinics for all skill levels. The move brings professional-grade mobile courts and trained coaches to sea, offering players a convenient, hands-on introduction ahead of major amateur events later in the year.

StarDream Cruises and Performance Pickleball will offer a three-night sailing in February that brings organized pickleball play and instruction to the Genting Dream ship. Departing from Singapore and bound for Phuket, the cruise will include introductory clinics conducted on professional-grade mobile court installations installed by Performance Pickleball. Travel time will last a full three days.
Michael Goh, President of StarDream Cruises, said, "Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and we’re excited to bring that energy onto Genting Dream. This partnership between Dream Cruises and Performance Pickleball allows us to champion active, meaningful travel experiences while showcasing our pickleball facilities at sea. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned player, this sailing invites guests to learn, play, and discover the joy of pickleball in a truly unique setting…"
Performance Pickleball is operated by Umeus Group and is among Singapore’s leading pickleball facilities. The operator pioneered smart and cushioned courts in the Lion City and developed the nation’s first mobile professional courts, making it well placed to deploy match-ready surfaces aboard ship. The clinics will be led by trained coaches and are open to players across all skill levels, from first-timers to experienced competitors.
Jeremy Luke Soh and Jeovanne Canace Poernomo, the Co-Founders of Umeus Group and Performance Pickleball, noted that the partnership means "sharing the joy of pickleball with a new audience…" The sessions are presented as a complimentary programme for passengers; players can register for the programme at the Box Office Counter on Deck 6.

For community players and newcomers in Singapore and the region, the cruise offers practical value: a low-barrier way to try the sport on professionally prepared courts, access to coached instruction, and a chance to assess equipment and court surfaces in person. The timing also gives recreational players a chance to sharpen skills ahead of larger events. The cruise precedes the Epic World Championship, a four-day amateur tournament backed by the Singapore Tourism Board, scheduled for 30 April to 4 May 2026.
Organisers say the initiative aligns leisure travel with active experiences, potentially widening pickleball’s audience across Southeast Asia. Players planning to join should register early at the Box Office Counter on Deck 6 to secure a spot in the complimentary clinics.
