Helena Media Drive Brings Holiday Donations to Local Charities

On Tuesday, December 9, MTN News staged a Day of Giving in Helena, accepting donations from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at two grocery store drop off points. Volunteers collected new, unwrapped toys, nonperishable food items, frozen turkeys and cash at Safeway, 611 N. Montana Avenue, and Albertsons, 3151 N. Montana Avenue. The drive directed proceeds to three local charities, Toys for Tots, Helena Food Share and The Salvation Army.

Representatives from the beneficiary organizations were scheduled to be on site to accept donations and to thank contributors. For residents who could not deliver items in person, the KTVH community page provided logistical details and links through host pages for online contributions to the named charities.
