Los Alamos County issued a reminder on December 7 to property owners that first half property tax payments for 2025 must be received or postmarked by Wednesday, December 10. Bills were mailed to owners on November 1 by the County Finance Division, and the county emphasized that avoiding late payment penalty and interest charges is the responsibility of the property owner.

The county detailed several payment methods and the specific processing deadlines that apply to each. In person payments can be made by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10 at the Customer Care Center in the lobby of the Municipal Building, located at 1000 Central Ave. Payments may also be made to a teller at Enterprise Bank and Trust at the walk in or drive through windows at 1200 Trinity Drive in Los Alamos or 77 Rover Blvd. in White Rock. Drop box payments consisting of a check or money order sealed in an envelope may be deposited in one of two drop boxes located in the Municipal Building parking lot and lobby, and must be in the drop box by midnight on Wednesday, December 10 to avoid penalties.

Mail payments should be addressed to Los Alamos County, P.O. Box 99, Los Alamos, NM 87544 0099 and must be postmarked by midnight on Wednesday, December 10. Online payments are accepted through eNoticesOnline.com and must be completed by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10 to meet the county processing deadline. Property owners need the County Authorization Code printed on the tax bill mailed November 1, 2025 to create an online account, and instructions are available on the Customer Care website under the Property Tax Payments tab.

Property owners who rely on escrow accounts should verify with their servicer that payment will be made on time, and anyone arranging for a third party to pay on their behalf must coordinate directly with the owner. For questions about ownership records, name changes, address corrections or valuation issues contact the County Assessor at 505 662 8030 or visit the County Assessor web page. For payment related inquiries contact the Customer Care Center at 505 662 8333 or CustomerCare@losalamosnm.gov. Additional assistance is available from Zhengyan Liu, Sr. Financial and Budget Analyst in the Finance Division at zhengyan.liu@losalamosnm.gov or by calling 505 662 8076.

Timely payment preserves local revenue streams that fund county services, and property owners are advised to verify payment receipt and any escrow arrangements now to avoid penalties.
